We’re a family-owned and operated establishment located in the heart of Downtown Elizabeth City, founded in 2023 as a labor of love for Eastern North Carolina. Our story began with a dream of creating a gathering place where locals and visitors alike could come together to enjoy good food, great drinks, and even better company.
We envisioned a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone would feel at home, and we set out to make that dream a reality. After months of planning and hard work, we’re proud to say that Tooley’s Tavern, The Boathouse is finally open for business. Our name is a nod to the maritime heritage of this region, and our decor reflects that same nautical theme, with rustic wood paneling, brass accents, and vintage boating memorabilia adorning our walls. But it’s not just about the ambiance – we’re passionate about food and drink, too.
Our menu features a mix of classic pub fare and more modern twists, all made with the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. From juicy burgers to crispy fish and chips, from handcrafted cocktails to a wide selection of beers and wines, we’ve got something to please every palate.
